This page provides information on adding and embedding standard video files and YouTube video links to Confluence Cloud pages.

## **Overview**

---

Videos in Confluence can be uploaded directly to the page or uploaded to YouTube first and then embedded. Embedding can be done either by directly pasting the link onto the page (preferred) or by using the **iframe macro**. If you are uploading to YouTube, you need to set the video as **Unlisted**.

Videos larger than 70MB should be uploaded to YouTube first. This is a recommended size; proceed at your own discretion. Keep in mind that larger videos will slow down the page they are on.

> ❌ The recommended method for adding YouTube videos to a page is to directly copy and paste their links onto the page.
