## **Replacing Images**

---

> ⚠️ Confluence may not automatically adjust the pixel dimensions of a replaced image. Instead, it may retain the width and height of the previous image. If the new image has different dimensions, you may need to manually set it to Original size in Edit mode.

## **Image History**

## **Purge Unused Images**

---

It is a good practice to delete the unused (old) images from a page. It is preferable to do this in the OFFLINE space and then publish the page. This way, the attachments go to the Trash offline space (and eventually can be restored). If you clear them up from the ONLINE space and trash, they are deleted forever.

> ℹ️ Try to do this whenever possible, especially if copying a page! It saves a lot of memory on the page.
