This page provides information on adding different types of links to Confluence Cloud pages.

> ⚠️ Keep in mind, you can’t fetch a tiny link in **Refined **anymore.

## **Type of Links**

---

There are several types of links that you can add to a page:

- **External links**: links that lead to external sites. *See the **[External Links section](#External-Links)**.*
- **Internal links**: links that lead from one Confluence page to another Confluence page.

Internal links can be divided into:

- **Cross-space links**: A link on a page in a space that leads to a page in another space.* See the **[Internal Confluence Links section](#Internal-Confluence-Links)**.*
- **Within-scape links**: A link on a page in a space that leads to a page in the same space. *See the **[Internal Confluence Links section](#Internal-Confluence-Links)**.*
- **Section links**: A link on a page in a space that leads to a specific section on the same page. *See the **[Links to Sections section](#Links-to-Sections)**.*
- **Anchor links**: A link on a page in a space that leads to an anchor pointing to a specific section on the same space. *See the **[Anchors section](#Anchors)**.*

## **Links to Sections**

---

To insert a link leading to a specific section heading of a page, use a relative link.

> ❌ Following a Comala Publishing App update, only the relative linking works for section links.

> ✅ If the following methods don’t work due to a bug or another issue, use the [Anchor macro](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCSGUIDE/pages/113290529/Links#Anchors) instead.
> ✅
> ✅  If the section name contains special characters, create an anchor macro with a keyword in it.
