## **Fixing Incorrect Spacing**

---

For the migrated images from Confluence Data Center, if you have trouble getting the spacing right, try this.

1. The first step is to get your incorrect spacing to be incorrect in the same way as the image on the right below (which is tighter than the desired spacing). If your spacing is larger than this, try positioning the cursor at the left side of the text and pressing Backspace, then centering the text. Even if you can't get the caption spacing to be exactly like the image on the right, proceed anyway.

2. Click the image to select it, and click **Align left** to left-justify it. The **Align center** button should still appear to be depressed after you do this.

3. Select the image again and choose **Clear Formatting**.

4. Click **Align left** again and (weirdly) the image will pop back to center.

5. If you started off with your caption spacing looking like the image on the right above, the text will be to the right of the image. Position the cursor to the left of text and press Shift+Enter. You're done! But if you didn't start out with the caption spacing shown at right above, you might need to play around with Backspace and Shift+Enter to get the caption in the right spot, or repeat the process a couple of times.
