Auto-named UI items in Tutorials :

It can be challenging to follow these conventions in a tutorial when the steps cause UI items to be auto-named. An example is node creation in Maya.

The instruction: `Create a V-Ray Blend Mtl node. Now select VRayBlendMtl1.`

This is incorrect. The instruction creates a node called VRayBlendMtl# where # is a number indicating a numeric sequence for that type of node. If it is the first node of this type, the name will be VRayBlendMtl1. But you can't refer to the node by name because you can't be certain of the number on the end; the user might have created other nodes prior to doing the tutorial, so the number at the end of the node name might actually be 2 or 5 or 14.

Here are some ways to get around this (examples):

A.` Create a V-Ray Blend Mtl node. Select the node you just created and look under the V-Ray tab. `

B.` The` `VRayBlendMtl node...` (not bolded because it doesn't refer to a specific UI element by name)
