This article provides instructions for manually publishing individual pages.

> ✅ For instructions on publishing (syncing) the entire space, please refer to the [Publish Space page](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCSGUIDE/pages/113290248).

## **Overview**

---

The publishing process is also called **Syncing**. Synced or published pages have a green label “Synced”, while pages that have unpublished changes show with an “Out of sync” label.

All edits and changes are made in the offline space, indicated in the page URL (<u>[docs-chaos.atlassian.net](http://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/)</u> / display / VRAYxxx**4EDIT**/ ... ).

After making a change, either publish the page right away (only if it is a minor change; see the <u>[Workflow guide](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCSGUIDE/pages/113278987#TIP)</u>) or, if preparing for a release, link the page to the corresponding JIRA issue and get notified of the publication date.

> ⚠️ If you encounter problems publishing the page, please refer to this article: [Confluence Tips and Tricks](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCSGUIDE/pages/113290614)

## **Steps to Publish a Single Page**

---

> ℹ️ Currently, there is no direct way to view all linked Jira tickets. As a workaround, you can review all related tickets within the dedicated product pool in Jira. You can also ask colleagues.

> ⚠️ A page could be set to be restricted for view and/or edit. One use case is the Release notes page. For marketing purposes, its online URL is needed before the page is synced on the day of the release. You can publish the page and change the permissions for visitors of the online page. For more information on restricting pages, please see the [Restrict Page (Permissions) article](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCSGUIDE/pages/265846785).

> ❌ Note that permissions are not transferred when you publish a page.
