This page provides details on writing microcopy for titles.

## **What is a Title?**

---

A **title **indicates the top level of the information architecture's hierarchy. We have titles in web and mobile apps, such as the Cosmos Browser web app, the My Chaos portal, error messages across all Chaos products, and the onboarding screen in Envision.

## **Rules**

---

- Titles must provide context and sometimes direct the user to take action.

- Titles should include specific words users expect to see in the app.
*For example, the **[https://my.chaos.com/products](https://my.chaos.com/products)** page shows the active Chaos products a user has purchased, and it is called ‘Active Products’.*

<details>

</details>

- Titles should be brief.
*For example, ‘Active Products’ instead of ‘A list showing all active products that you have’ (**[https://my.chaos.com/products](https://my.chaos.com/products)**).*

## **Examples**

---

Some notable examples of titles include the Chaos AI Assistant title in Envision’s AI assistant window, the Asset Library title in Envision’s Asset Library panel, etc.
