Make sure your computer meets the minimum recommended system requirements listed below. We recommend using Enscape with dual monitors, as it is optimized for a dual-monitor setup. ### **Required CAD/BIM Software** --- The Enscape for Windows plug-in is provided for the following host applications: - **Revit 2024, 2025,** **2026 **and **2027** - **SketchUp 2024, 2025 **and** 2026** - **Rhino 7.0 **and** 8.3 (or later)** - **Archicad 27, 28 **and** 29** - **Vectorworks 2024, 2025 **and **2026** > ⚠️ *Enscape is ****not ****available as a plugin for Revit LT because Revit LT only allows third-party plugins in the full version of the software. This is a limitation set by Autodesk.* On Windows, the Enscape plugin is installed by default for all of the above-listed host applications unless otherwise specified during installation. This means you do not require a dedicated installer for each individual host application, and you can specify which CAD or CADs you want to install Enscape for [during the installation procedure](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/enscape/pages/841056264). Update your CAD application listed above to the latest software release or update available from the manufacturer to access all fixes and improvements. ### **Soft Support for CAD/BIM Software** --- When a host CAD or BIM application releases a new version, Enscape adds support for it as soon as possible in an upcoming release. At that point, the oldest supported version moves out of official support. When a CAD or BIM version moves out of official support, it no longer receives bug fixes, testing, or compatibility guarantees. To give projects more flexibility during transitions, each version then enters a period of *soft support*, during which it remains available in the installer before its full removal. Soft support means that Enscape continues to work on the affected CAD and BIM versions but does not receive bug fixes for them. Enscape also does not guarantee that new features are fully compatible with these host application versions. The soft support period for each host application is as follows: - SketchUp: 1 year of soft support - Revit: 2 years of soft support - Rhino: 2 years of soft support - Archicad: 2 years of soft support - Vectorworks: 2 years of soft support ### **System Requirements** --- Enscape renders using your graphics card (GPU), but the GPU must have dedicated VRAM, not the shared VRAM found in Intel Integrated Graphics chips. If your system's CPU and RAM can handle [Revit](https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Revit-products.html), for instance, and you have a capable GPU, Enscape should work. A good CPU can speed up Enscape’s loading times. The system requirements for running Enscape and the [Standalone Executable files](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/enscape/pages/841154791) that can be exported from Enscape are identical. Use a cable connection instead of Wi-fi to ensure fast loading of the Asset Library. > ℹ️ Real-time rendering performance is affected by the project size. The following table provides the minimum GPU specifications recommended for large CAD/BIM projects. Where VR is listed, the GPU’s clock speed (processor) has more relevance than the amount of VRAM, although you should always try to use a GPU with as much VRAM as possible. > ℹ️ Windows 11 is supported by Enscape. Please let us know if you experience any issues when running Enscape under this operating system by submitting feedback via the [Enscape Support Dialog](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/enscape/pages/841121914). > ⚠️ Windows 11 **ARM **is not officially supported and has not been tested. Issues may occur. ## **macOS** --- Enscape and its rendering engine rely heavily on the performance of the graphics processing unit (GPU) in the Apple Silicon chipset and the Unified Memory on the Mac. To optimize this, your computer must meet the minimum recommended system requirements outlined below. Furthermore, we recommend using Enscape in a multi-monitor setup to fully support the workflow between the CAD application and Enscape. ### **Required CAD/BIM Software** --- The Enscape for Mac plug-in is provided for the following host applications: - **SketchUp 2024, 2025 **and** 2026** - **Rhino 7.0 **and** 8.3 (or later)** - **Archicad 27, 28 **and** 29** - **Vectorworks 2024, 2025 **and **2026** On macOS, the Enscape plugin is installed by default for all the above-listed host applications, unless specified otherwise [during installation](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/enscape/pages/841056264). This means you do not require a dedicated installer for each host application, and you can specify which CAD or CADs you want to install Enscape for during installation. We recommend updating your CAD application listed above to the latest software release or update available from the manufacturer to ensure you have all fixes and improvements. - Be advised that SketchUp versions prior to 2024 do not officially support macOS 14 Sonoma at this time. Technical issues might ensue from using SketchUp and Enscape.
