This page provides details about imported Enscape water materials in Enscape Envision.

## **Overview**

---

Envision displays Water materials from Enscape as Enscape Water materials, with a label that shows the material comes from Enscape. Enscape Water materials have only the essential properties. Converting an Enscape Water material to a native Water material unlocks additional controls for finer adjustments.

## **Actions with Enscape Water Materials**

---

**Convert to native Water material** – Converts the Enscape Water material into a native Water material and unlocks more properties.

For more information on the rest of the actions available, refer to the [Material Editor](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ENVISION/pages/124650584) page.

## **Properties**

---

> ℹ️ For detailed information on all parameters available after conversion to native Water material, refer to the [Water Material](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ENVISION/pages/124715931) page.

### **Water presets**

The Water presets rollout contains ready-to-use water surface presets for common environments, including pools, lakes, and seas.

**Pool **– Clear, lightly tinted pool water with smooth surface movement.

**Lake **– Slightly murky lake water with subtle green-blue tones and soft waves.

**Sea **– Deep blue sea water with dynamic waves and subtle foam breakup.

### **Material base**

**Depth **– A multiplier for the depth of the water.

**Color / Depth presets **– Specifies the color of the water. The arrow displays Depth presets: Clear, Turquoise, Deep blue, Murky.

### **Wave properties**

**Wave intensity** – Controls the speed in meters per second along with wave size of the water waves. Low values produce a calm water surface. High values produce bigger, slower waves, as if in a storm.

**Scale **– A multiplier for the wave size.

**Ignore global wind** – When enabled, the Water material ignores the global wind settings and uses individual wind adjustments instead.

**Wind direction** – Specifies whether the waves follow a predominant direction defined by the **Wave flow** parameter or if they are more dispersed and deviate from that direction.

**Wind intensity** – Controls how strong the wind is.

**Global wind settings** – Controls the global wind settings when Ignore global wind is disabled.

## **Advanced Properties**

---

Advanced mode shows the same options as the native Water material and keeps the Enscape label visible. For more information on all advanced parameters, refer to the [Water Material](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ENVISION/pages/124715931) page.
