Overview Enscape, as a plugin, is accessed and opened via the User Interface (UI) of the CAD you’ve installed Enscape for. The following images show the Enscape Toolbar in the Rhino User Interface. You will find that the Enscape toolbar has also been adapted in style to conform to the UI’s of the other supported CADs and therefore the buttons will appear almost identical as those shown here. Along with the buttons to launch Enscape, enable its Live Update and Synchronize Views functions, this CAD-side toolbar also provides a way to access core Enscape functions and options without having to start the Enscape Viewport Options, such as the License Key activation , Performance options, Language, and Network settings, as well as access to a form to contact Enscape Support if you run into any problems. When running Rhino, press the Enscape Start button in the Enscape toolbar to open the Enscape Viewport. The Enscape Toolbar in the Rhino User Interface Button Description Start Enscape – Starts Enscape in separate Window. Live Updates – Starts Live Updates. Synchronize Views – Synchronize CAD view to Enscape. Enscape Object – Creates/Edits special Enscape objects in the model. Asset Library – Browse through the “Enscape Asset Library” and place asset in CAD application. Enscape Material Library – Imports Predefined materials. Enscape Material Editor – Tune Materials in the project. Upload Management – View and Management your uploaded panoramas and web standalones. General Settings – Open the Enscape General Settings window. Support – Open a feedback window to send feedback regarding user experience with Enscape or to report issue. About – Opens the about window where you can see the version information. Escape Store – Visit the Enscape store. Chaos Account – Opens the Chaos Account window to log in, manage license and redeem promo codes. Enscape Toolbar When Enscape opens for the first time you should see a row of buttons running across the top of the Enscape Viewport. If you don’t, click the small chevron located at the top middle of the Enscape Viewport to expand the toolbar. Hide/Show Enscape Toolbar Button Description Home Mode – Return to the main Enscape toolbar view, closing/hiding any currently open tool panels. Collaborative Annotation – Create and manage project issues/annotations directly in the Enscape view, so you can capture feedback and share it with your team. BIM Mode – Display BIM-related information in the Enscape view (e.g., element metadata) to support model review and coordination. View Management – Create, organize, and switch between saved views for navigation and features like Batch Rendering and Scene Export. Light Management – Adjust and control artificial lights in the scene (enable/disable, modify intensity and color) for quick lighting iteration. Asset Library – Browse, search, and place Enscape assets (people, vegetation, furniture, etc.) into your project to populate the scene. Site Context – Import surrounding buildings, streets, and topography from OpenStreetMap to place your project in its real-world context. Video Editor – Create and edit camera path animations by adding keyframes and adjusting timing and movement settings. Veras – Generate AI-powered rendering variations of your project for creativity and inspiration. Screenshot – Create a rendering of the current Enscape view. AI Enhancer – Create a rendering with higher realism of the current Enscape view. Batch Rendering – Create a view within a CAD software or the Enscape view Management to enable Batch Rendering. Scene Export – Create a view within a CAD software or the Enscape view Management to enable Scene Export. Mono Panorama – Create a 360° image of your current position. Stereo Panorama – Create a 360° stereo image for Google Cardboards. Exe Standalone – Export the current project as an executable standalone. This way you can share it with others, even if they don’t have Enscape or the CAD software installed. Web Standalone – Export the current project to the Web. This way you can share it with others, even if they don’t have Enscape or the CAD software installed. 3D Streaming – Upload an Enscape Scene to Chaos Claud for sharing. Enscape Impact – Opens Enscape Impact window. Minimap – Toggle the interactive minimap. Safe Frame – Limit the visible area to the projected rendering results. Perspective – Select the projection mode “Perspective” (disabled for Synchronizing View and the Video Editor, perspective projection only) Two-points – Select the projection mode “Two Points” (disabled for Synchronizing View and the Video Editor, perspective projection only) Orthographic – Select the projection mode “Orthographic “ (disabled for Synchronizing View and the Video Editor, perspective projection only) Navigation Mode: Fly Mode – Choose whether to walk or fly through your scene. Navigation Mode: Walk Mode – Choose whether to walk or fly through your scene. VR Headset – Enable your Virtual Reality (VR) Headset. Enscape supports Meta Quest 3 and HTC Vive Pro 2. Visual Settings – Opens the Enscape Visual Settings window. Enscape Window Settings – Opens the Enscape Window Settings. Help Panel – Toggle a sidebar containing contextual help information. Notes If the Enscape Viewport opens displaying a notification overlay informing the user that the License Key has expired or is invalid, or that there are no seats available on a Floating License, then please refer to this article . These notifications will also be shown when accessing Enscape’s other Core Features which include Enscape’s Asset and Custom Asset Library, Enscape’s Material Library and Material Editor. If the Enscape Viewport opens without a notification blocking its use, then a panel to the right of the Viewport containing a contextual Help Panel should be visible and is provided to assist in quickly getting comfortable and familiar with the Enscape UI, its layout and associated functions. You can quickly open / close the Help panel using the [ H ] key or by clicking its associated button in the Viewport’s toolbar. Congratulations!
