## **New **

---

- **Cloud Licensing: **Enscape now offers Cloud Licensing as an alternative to the Chaos License Server. You can choose between the Cloud Licensing and the Chaos License Server during installation. The Cloud Licensing does not require setting up VPNs or on premise infrastructure. Older Enscape versions (<4.16) continue to use the License Server. <u>[Learn more in the Cloud Licensing FAQ.](https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/sections/40592713461777-Cloud-Licensing)</u>
- **Asset Brush Placement Tool: **Place large numbers of assets faster with the new Brush Placement Tool. Paint assets onto surfaces with live preview and controls for brush radius, density, distribution, and asset variety to create more natural results.
  - More dense asset placement is now possible not only with Brush, but also with all multi asset placement modes. You can also tune how much assets are allowed to overlap, depending on the asset type and the look you want.
  - Random rotation is supported, plus optional subtle variation with random scaling (±10%) and random tilting (up to ±90 degrees), both available across all multi asset placement modes and recommended mainly for vegetation.
  - An Eraser lets you shape the placement area before confirming, and after confirming it removes only placeholders to help avoid mistakes.
- **Light Management Improvements:**
  - Light names now default to CAD names where supported. SketchUp and Archicad CAD name support is not implemented yet, and we are working on it.
  - Double click a light icon to open its edit dialog.
  - Alt + Mouse Click or the teleport button focuses the camera on selected lights.
  - Light icon visibility modes added. Can be switched via the visibility toggle.
    - Show Visible Only
    - Show All
    - Hide All

  - Icons for the selected lights will always be shown on the viewport.
  - Light preset actions are now available next to the active preset.
  - Reset to CAD defaults is shown only when a value differs from CAD.
  - Added a reset all button to restore all properties to CAD defaults.
  - Removed the Beta Tag.
- **SketchUp: **Removed support for SketchUp 2023. This allows us to streamline development, improve code quality, and focus on supporting the latest SketchUp versions.

## **Fixed Bugs **

---

- **SketchUp: **Fixed a problem where deleting all materials and opening the Enscape Material editor would log error messages.
- **Rhino:** “Replace With Enscape Material” no longer duplicates in Enscape material editor, when created as sub material within Rhino double-sided material type.
- **Light Management: **The light color is now instantly updated and the user does not have to close the color picker in order to see the picked color.
- **Light Management: **Rectangle selection now works when the camera is moving.
- **Safe Frame: **Double-click teleport moves the camera to the expected position in safe frame mode.
- **Multi Asset Placement: **Fix selection in rectangle selection and circle selection of multi asset placement.
- **Multi Asset Placement:** Mouse cursor is restored to the last used when re-entering the window after leaving.
- **Single Asset Placement:** Greatly reduced frequency of some assets being misplaced after moving the camera.
- **Custom Asset Editor:** The scale values are now updated on focus lost or when the Enter key is pressed.
- **Ray Tracing:** Fixed a renderer crash in relation with ray traced sun shadows, animated vegetation and fast material / sun position changes.
- **Ray Tracing:** Fixed light source temporarily disappearing on edit (with Hardware Ray Tracing artificial lights enabled)
- **Enscape Impact:** Fixed ghosting artifacts in the Sky, which can occur when switching to building performance visualization.
- **Enscape Impact: **Performance view no longer sometimes flickers on hover.

## **Known Issues **

---

- **Scene export: **Exporting all views in Scene Export can cause Enscape to hang and crash. Restarting Enscape in the same SketchUp session can allow the export to complete.
- **V-Ray Scene Export: **Enscape produces large V-ray scene files due to duplicating the geometry of asset instances.
- **Brush Placement: **Changing asset density repeatedly can place assets outside the painted area, especially with maximum brush radius.
- **Brush Placement: **Some brush strokes may remain without asset placeholders after changing selected assets or regenerating. In some cases, switching to Eraser and editing can remove all placeholders.
- **Brush Placement: **Placing assets with high density can be slow in brush placement. If you run into issues, please decrease the asset density or brush size.
- **Light Management:** In some cases Enscape crashes if you cancel batch rendering when light management is active.
- **Reflections: **Reflections can start refreshing when hovering and moving the mouse after using asset placement tools, even without camera movement. This can increase VRAM usage on some GPUs.
- **Multi-Asset Placement: **Using multi-asset placement in the Asset Library may cause Enscape to freeze when asset density is increased during placement (or in scenes with site context), preventing the application from being closed.
