## Benefits of the Section Tool

- **Gain floor-by-floor clarity when reviewing Performance Maps.**  
The Section Tool allows designers to isolate individual building levels, providing a clearer view of analysis results for each floor. This helps avoid confusion that can occur when results from multiple levels overlap in complex projects.
- **Identify problematic rooms that may be hidden behind others.**  
By virtually cutting through the building, designers can expose interior spaces that are otherwise concealed from exterior views. This makes it easier to detect rooms with poor performance that would be difficult to notice without isolating them.
- **Make more accurate and informed early design decisions.**  
With improved visibility into all spaces, designers can identify issues at an earlier stage and apply corrective measures before design development progresses too far. This proactive approach helps improve overall building performance and reduces the risk of costly revisions later.


## Usage

To access and operate the Section Tool, follow the steps below:

- Launch **Enscape Impact: **the **Section Tool** is displayed in the lower center of the Enscape renderer window.
- Initialize the project**: **if this is the first time launching the project, [enter the required input data](https://documentation.chaos.com/space/ESKETCHUP/127964659/How+Impact+Works) to start the calculation process. Once geometry detection is complete, the Section Tool becomes active and ready for use.

> 📝 The cut will occur 1 meter above the finished floor of that level.

> 📝 **Level 1** is the lowest detected level, which may differ from floor numbering in your model (e.g., underground floors may be Level -3).
