This article covers how to purchase additional Chaos Credits, the options available, and how billing works.


## **Why buy more credits**

Each Chaos subscription includes a monthly credit allowance. If your team uses AI features heavily, you may run through that allowance before the next refresh.

You have three options to add more credits:

1. **Upgrade your subscription tier** — if you'd benefit from more credits *and* more product features, upgrading to a higher tier gives you both.
2. **Credit packs** — recurring monthly credits added to your pool.
3. **Enterprise pools** — large annual credit allotments for organisations with high usage.

## **Credit packs**

Credit packs are recurring purchases that add a fixed number of credits to your shared pool each cycle. A few key things to know:

- **Packs are floating.** They go into your Shared pool and can be used by all users in the organization.
- **Monthly or annual.** Choose monthly billing for flexibility, or annual for savings.
  - **Monthly packs** are billed monthly with credits added on the billing date.
  - **Annual packs** are billed annually, with monthly credit allowances delivered on the same date each month.
- **You can stack credit packs.** Need more? Add another pack on top.


## **Enterprise pools**

For larger organizations, Enterprise pools give you a single large annual credit pool with no monthly caps. You can spend the entire amount in a single quarter if you need to, or spread it across the year.

Enterprise pools are sold through Chaos Direct Sales or via your Channel Partner — they aren't available in the webshop. They're a good fit for:

- Studios with many users.
- Organizations with variable demand (peaks at the end of project cycles).
- Teams that want a single pool to plan against, rather than a monthly refresh management.


## **How to purchase**

### In the product or My Chaos

1. Sign in to [my.chaos.com](https://my.chaos.com/) as an admin.
2. Open the **Organization** tab → **Chaos Credits Management** sub-tab.
3. Click **Buy credits** on the Credits management card.

The Buy credits page lists all available options:

- **Subscription upgrades.** If you're on a lower tier, you can upgrade to a higher one. Higher tiers include more credits *and* more product features.
- **Credit packs.** Choose a pack size and your billing cycle (monthly or annual).

Pick whichever option suits you and complete checkout. Credits are added to your pool immediately for monthly top-ups, or on the same date each month for annual top-ups.

> ℹ️ **Partner customers and in-product purchases**

> ℹ️ If you're a Channel Partner customer, you can still purchase monthly top-up packs directly from Chaos in-product to avoid running out of credits. Larger packages and Enterprise pools should go through your partner.


## **Billing and renewals**

- **Successful renewal:** all credits, refresh dates, and user assignments remain uninterrupted.
- **Failed payment:** if your payment method isn't charged on the renewal date, you will not be able to use your Chaos Credits. Make sure your payment details are up to date.
- **Refunds:** refunds are declined if credits from that subscription have already been consumed.


## **Changes to credit pricing**

Chaos reserves the right to change the credit cost of features (for example, if a new AI model is added or replaces an older one). 

Existing credit balances are not affected — they remain valid and spendable at the updated rates.
