Sign in to [my.chaos.com](https://my.chaos.com/) 2. Open the **Products** tab 3. Click the **Chaos Credits** sub-tab **Credits Usage** page opens. Most Chaos products also show a smaller credits indicator next to the relevant AI or cloud features, so you can check your balance without leaving the app. ## **What's on the Credits Usage page** --- The page has three sections that summarize the current credit balance: ![Three_Sections.png](media://2da9664c-3977-47f7-9d8c-d1cb6c013766) ### 1. **Credits Overview - your own balance** > ℹ️ **If you're an admin viewing your own Credits page**, the **Request credits** button is replaced with **Buy credits**, which takes you directly to the purchase page. If you're a member of multiple Chaos organizations, each appears as a separate row. | **Column** | **What it shows** | | --- | --- | | **Organisation** | The Chaos organization, the floating pool belongs to | | **Usage** | How much you've used from this pool this cycle, with a percentage badge | | **Available** | The remaining credits you can still spend from this pool | | **Quota** | Your total floating credit limit is set by the organization's admin | | **Resets on** | When your usage against this quota resets | The usage percentage badge color-codes status at a glance: - **Grey** — normal usage, under 80%. - **Orange (80–98%)** — approaching the limit. - **Red (99%+)** — at or near zero. ## **Understanding your balance display** --- The balance shows **remaining** credits, not credits used. When your balance gets low, you may see in-product notifications inside Chaos products — usually a small inline message such as **"80% credit balance reached"** with a **Request credits** link, or a pop-up when you've hit your limit and try to run a credit-consuming action. These work the same way as the Credits page button: clicking **Request credits** sends an email to your admin. ## **When credits run out** --- When you have no credits to draw from — either because you've hit your shared pool limit or the pool is empty — and you try to run a credit-consuming action, you'll be blocked with a message with the option to request more credits. You have two choices: 1. **Request credits.** This sends an email to your admin. Your admin can then raise your limit, buy a credit pack, or deny the request (do nothing). 2. **Wait for the next refresh.** Credits refresh on each subscription's billing date. *See the **[Named credits details](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LIC54EDIT/pages/822542355)** and **[Floating credits details](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LIC54EDIT/pages/822542355)** modals for refresh and reset dates.* > ⚠️ ### If an operation stops mid-run > ⚠️ > ⚠️ Some operations — like a cloud render that takes time to complete — can run out of credits while in progress. If this happens, the operation stops, no credits are deducted for the incomplete part, and you'll see a message asking you to ensure you have enough credits before retrying. > ⚠️ > ⚠️ Once your balance is replenished, you can continue the task. ## **Tips for managing usage** --- - **Use the credit details to spot where your credits come from.** Knowing which subscription or pool is driving most of your spend is worth knowing before you ask for more credits. - **Check costs before running expensive features.** Higher-resolution Veras images cost more credits than lower-resolution ones. Use lower resolutions for drafts and reserve higher resolutions for finals. *See the **[Chaos pricing page](https://www.chaos.com/pricing)** for current per-feature costs.* - **Use Cloud Rendering settings wisely.** Cloud Rendering charges depend on scene complexity and resolution. Lighter sampling and lower resolutions consume fewer credits. - **Watch expiry dates.** The **Named credits details** modal shows when each named credit pack expires. The system automatically uses credits from sources expiring soonest first, but it's good to know.
