## **Overview**

---

Phoenix provides a number of forces for controlling the simulation.

- [Plain Force](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125634284) - Pushes the fluid in a specified direction to simulate wind or gravity.
- [Body Force](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125960845) - Creates a force to pull the fluid toward a geometry object.
- [Follow Path](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125699477) - Pushes a fluid along a spline.
- [Wave Force](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125898430) - Creates waves inside a Liquid Simulator, primarily for ocean simulations.
- [Turbulence ](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125963098)- Adds movement similar to fractal noise.
- [Active Body Thruster](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125633736) - Creates procedural animations inside Phoenix — moves Active Bodies with a directable engine force.
- [Active Body Axis Lock](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PHX4MAYA/pages/125895408) — Restricts Active Bodies to move or rotate along a selected horizontal or vertical axis.
