This page provides information about the V-Ray menu integrated in Blender's toolbar. Overview V-Ray includes a menu with easy shortcuts to some of the most commonly used V-Ray components. The menu consists of three sections: the first one displays the V-Ray VFB; the second one includes the Chaos Collaboration and Cosmos integrations; the third one offers quick access to commonly used options in V-Ray for Blender; and the last section contains the help functions in V-Ray for Blender. V-Ray Menu Menu Description V-Ray VFB Opens the  V-Ray Frame Buffer . Start Production Render Starts a production render in the VFB. Start Interactive Render Starts an interactive render in the VFB. Cloud Services Opens the  Cloud Services  submenu. Chaos Cosmos Opens the  Cosmos  submenu. Camera Opens the  Camera  submenu. Lights Opens the  Lights  submenu. Geometry Opens the  Geometry  submenu. Tools Opens the  Tools  submenu Help Opens the  Help  submenu. Chaos account Opens the  Chaos licensing window . Cloud Services Chaos Cloud Option Description Submit to Cloud Submits the current render to  Chaos Cloud . Chaos Collaboration Opens  Chaos Collaboration . This function is unavailable in the V-Ray for Blender Community Edition. Chaos Veras Option Description Viewport Image to Veras Uploads a viewport snapshot to  Chaos Veras . Unavailable in the V-Ray for Blender Community Edition. VFB Image to Veras Uploads the latest render to  Chaos Veras . Unavailable in the V-Ray for Blender Community Edition. Cosmos Option Description Cosmos Browser Opens the  Cosmos Browser . AI Material Generator Opens the  AI Material Generator  window that allows you to generate a 3D material from an image. This function is unavailable in the V-Ray for Blender Community Edition. Download Cosmos Assets Starts the  Download Cosmos Assets  tool, which allows you to re-download misplaced or lost Cosmos assets. Camera Option Description V-Ray Physical Camera Creates a Blender Camera with the  V-Ray Physical Camera  attributes enabled. Lights Option Description V-Ray Rect Light Creates a  Rectangular Light . V-Ray Sphere Light Creates a  Sphere Light . V-Ray Dome Light Creates a  Dome Light . V-Ray Mesh Light Creates a  Mesh Light . V-Ray IES Light Creates an  IES Light . V-Ray Sun Light Creates a  Sun Light . V-Ray Sun And Sky Creates a  Sun and Sky  system. V-Ray Spot Light Creates a  Spot Light . V-Ray Omni Light Creates an  Omni Light . V-Ray Direct Light Creates a  Direct Light . V-Ray Ambient Light Creates an  Ambient Light . Geometry Option Description V-Ray Scene Opens the File View window, allowing you to import a  V-Ray Scene  file into the scene.  V-Ray Proxy Opens the File View window, allowing you to import a  V-Ray Proxy  file into the scene.  V-Ray Fur Creates a  V-Ray Fur  geometry in the scene, that procedurally produces fur. V-Ray Decal Creates a  V-Ray Decal  geometry that projects a material onto an object. Tools Option Description Convert Materials Starts the  Convert Materials  tool, which converts Cycles nodes to V-Ray nodes. Convert Lights Starts the Convert Lights tool, which converts Cycles lights to V-Ray Lights. Make Shadow Catcher Converts the selected object into a shadow catcher.  Help Option Description About V-Ray for Blender Opens the  About  window. Online Documentation Opens the V-Ray for Blender documentation in a browser. Online Help Center Opens the  Chaos Help center  in a browser. Chaos Cloud Portal Opens the  Chaos Cloud Portal  in a browser. V-Ray Ideas Portal Opens the  V-Ray for Blender Ideas Portal  in a browser. Check for Updates Check for available updates. This opens a new window.  Enable the  Automatic Check for Updates  option in the window, so that V-Ray does this periodically.  About Chaos V-Ray Provides information about the V-Ray version. This information can be copied. It also provides copyright information and links to the Chaos website and this documentation. The About Chaos V-Ray window is accessible from  V-Ray menu  >  Help  >  About V-Ray for Blender .
