This page provides information about the Output utility texture in V-Ray for Blender. Overview The Output utility texture can be used to perform various adjustments to a texture's value, such as multiplication, offset, inversion, and clamping. UI Path:  ||V-Ray Node Editor|| >  Shader > Add > Texture Utilities >  V-Ray Output Node Input Sockets This section describes the input sockets of the node. Some sockets have dedicated parameters, which are further described below, some sockets are just inputs, and some sockets server as the parameter. Texture  – Input socket for the texture that will be modified. Output Multiplier – Allows a color node to determine the strength multiplier for the Texture. This property and the Color Mult both multiply the result. Textures and colors can be assigned to both to create more diverse effects. Output Color Mult – Allows a color node to serve as the Color Mult. Corrects the color of the texture by multiplying the RGB color values in the texture with the RGB color values specified here. Color Offset – Allows a color node to serve as the Color Offset. Corrects the color of the texture by adding the RGB color values specified here to the RGB color values of the texture. Alpha Mult – Uses a float node to multiply the alpha value of the connected Texture. Alpha Offset – Uses a float node to determine the alpha value’s offset. No UVs Color – Allows a color node to determine a default color used for polygons with no valid UVs. In case the map is not tiled, it specifies a default color that is used outside the texture square. When a texture is selected, it overrides the color as long as the texture checkbox is enabled. Properties Texture – Specifies a color to fall back to, in case no node is connected to the Texture input socket. Output Multiplier – Specifies a color to fall back to, in case no node is connected to the Output Multiplier input socket. Alpha From Intensity  – Specifies where to take the alpha from. Bitmap alpha  – This is the default setting. With this option selected, V-Ray renders the material the same on both sides.  Color intensity/luminance  – Renders the back side of polygons as invisible for the camera.  Force opaque – Renders the back side of polygons as invisible to all rays except shadow rays. Invert – When enabled, inverts the resulting texture color. Output Clamp – When enabled, it clamps the output in the [ 0.0; 0.1] range. Bump Amount – Specifies the bump amount if the texture is used for bump mapping. Output Color Mult –    Corrects the color of the texture by multiplying the RGB color values in the texture with the RGB color values specified here.  Color Offset  –   Corrects the color of the texture by adding the RGB color values specified here to the RGB color values of the texture.
