This page provides information on the Temperature texture in V-Ray for Blender. Overview The V-Ray Temperature texture map is typically used in conjunction with specific light sources to emulate a specific value, like a Kelvin temperature.  This is very useful for different parts of  mesh lights or for mapping the color of V-Ray Light Material, changing it  from a warm to a cool value. UI Path:  ||V-Ray Node Editor|| >  Shader  >  Add  >  Textures  >  V-Ray Temperature Node Input Sockets This section describes the input sockets of the node. Some sockets have dedicated parameters, which are further described below, and some sockets are just inputs. Temperature  (input socket) – Allows an integer-outputting node to determine the color temperature value in Kelvins, when  Color Mode  is set to  Temperature . Color  (input socket) – Allows a node to specify the texture color when  Color Mode  is set to  Color . Properties Color Mode  – Switches between the  Temperature  and  Color  modes of the node. Temperature  – Sets the color using Kelvins when no node is connected. Active when  Color Mode  is set to  Temperature . Color – Sets the color using a color swatch. Active when  Color Mode  is set to  Color . Rgb Multiplier  – A multiplier for the intensity of the color. Alpha  – A value for the transparency. Gamma Correction  – A gamma correction to be applied to the color output.
