This page provides information about the V-Ray Object Lister in V-Ray for Blender.

## **Overview**

---

The V-Ray Object Lister provides a quick and easy way to manage the settings of all scene objects, grouped by type, from a single window. It includes tabs for Assets, Cameras, Displacement, Gaussian Splats, Lights, V-Ray Clippers, V-Ray Decals, V-Ray Fur, V-Ray Proxies, and V-Ray Scenes. Several tabs – Gaussian Splats, V-Ray Clippers, V-Ray Decals, V-Ray Fur, V-Ray Proxies, and V-Ray Scenes – combine into one Geometry section through [Lister Options](#Lister-Options).

**UI Path:** ||V-Ray menu|| > **Tools** > **Object Lister**

## **Settings**

---

Common settings control what each tab displays. A quick search also filters specific assets within the tabs.

**Search **– Filters rows by object name.

**Selected Only** – Shows only the objects selected in the scene.

**Viewport Visible Only** – Shows only the objects that are visible in the viewport.

**Render Visible Only** – Shows only the objects that are enabled for rendering.

**Missing Only** – Available in the Assets tab only. Shows only assets whose file is missing on disk.

**Lister Options** – Opens the Lister Options window. *For more information, see the **[Lister Options section](#Lister-Options)** below.*

**Dock Lister In Editor** – Docks the lister into an editor. Click an editor to move the lister into it. Right-click or press Esc to cancel.* For more information, see the **[Dock Lister in Editor section](#Dock-Lister-in-Editor)** below.*

**Close Lister Window **– Closes the V-Ray Object Lister window. For a docked lister, this returns the panel to its editor instead of closing it.

## **Assets**

---

The Assets tab controls common parameters for all assets in the scene. You can check the assets for missing files and relink them by file name in bulk or individually; make the asset file paths absolute or relative to the .blend; control the color space, open the folder containing the file or the file itself.

> ⚠️ Blender’s own External Data tools do not cover V-Ray’s file references.

> ✅ When using the **Accept **button, hold **Shift **to open the file, or **Alt **to browse containing directory.
