This page explains how to renew V-Ray for Blender Community Edition.

## **Overview**

---

The V-Ray Community Edition license for Blender is free for three months. You can get it again after its expiration from [my.chaos.com](http://my.chaos.com). Note that you can extend the license as many times as you need.

The Community Edition license can be renewed only before it expires. If you do not renew the license before expiration, you will need to go through the process of acquiring a new license. One week before the license expires, an email reminder is sent to help you have a more seamless experience.

> ⚠️ If your license has expired, see the [Activation and Installation](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VBLD/pages/713981959) page for steps to acquire a new license.
