### Example: Dimming a Single Light

In this example, the light from the desk lamp is dimmed down. The Light Select RE is used to select only that one light source. Then, the **Multiplier **for that layer in the [Layers Panel](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VC4D/pages/116855823) is reduced to dim down the desk lamp.

## **Notes**

---

- When [LightMixRE ](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VC4D/pages/116855114)is also added as a render element, make sure to select the **Group by Manual light select **option. Otherwise, the Light Select channel does not render.
