Overview  3D Streaming enables real-time navigation through immersive 3D environments. This mode allows you to walk through virtual scenes using standard controls or input devices, offering a first-person perspective. This page contains information on how to navigate a scene and work with the 3D Streaming tools. Scene File Comments – Shows the number of comments for this file. File Options – Opens the file options menu. Live Status – Indicates that the 3D Streaming session is running for this scene.  Share – Opens the Share popup window.  Rename – Edits the file name.   Move to – Moves this file to another location within the My projects space.  Copy file – Copies this file to another location within the My projects space. Set as thumbnail – Sets the 3D scene thumbnail as the thumbnail of the entire project. Move to trash – Sends the file to the Trash.  Start/Stop Streaming Click on the file to open the 3D Streaming window. Click the button to start the session.  Next, click the Yes, start button to accept the Chaos Privacy policy , Terms of use and EULA   and start the interactive session.  The session loads in a few minutes. It is active for the next 60 minutes and has an inactivity timeout of 30 minutes.  Click the Stop button on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to stop the session.  Navigation Mouse & Keyboard Use the Navigation controls to move around the scene. Pan – In Fly mode, use the Q, E, A, D keys to move the viewport down, up, left and right. You can also hold down the middle mouse key and move your mouse in the desired direction. In Pan mode, you would use the left mouse key to pan. Orbit – In Fly mode, hold down the middle mouse key and move the mouse to move the viewport in orbit mode. In Orbit mode, you would use the left mouse key to orbit. Movement  – Use the W, A, S, D keys on the keyboard to move around. Holding down Shift temporarily increases the movement speed. Hold the Left Mouse Button to look around. Zoom – In Fly, Orbit, and Pan modes, use the mouse scroll to move forward and backward. Speed – Select the movement speed with the number keys from 1 to 5. Viewpoints – Opens the Viewpoints side menu. Snapshot – Takes a high-quality Snapshot of your viewport. The rendered image appears in the same folder with the current scene. (available to Editors only) Navigation Mode – Select between Fly , Walk , Orbit , and Pan modes of navigation. Speed – Select between 5 speed modes. Time – Allows you to change the time of day. Enter full screen – Enters full screen mode. Press Esc on your keyboard to exit full screen mode. Navigation Controls – Opens the Navigation Controls legend. Stop – Stop the streaming session. Touch The 3D Streaming feature can also be used on a mobile device. Here are the controls.   Viewpoints The Viewpoints feature enables you to save specific camera locations within the scene, making it easier to navigate quickly between your preferred viewpoints. By bookmarking these spots, you can efficiently switch between different angles, perspectives, and times of the day, enhancing your workflow and allowing for a more streamlined exploration of the scene. This functionality is particularly useful for complex environments where quick access to critical areas is essential for effective editing or visualization. Add – Adds the current view to the Viewpoints tray. Edit – Edits the Viewpoint name.  Delete – Deletes the Viewpoint. V-Ray / Vantage – Any Cameras/Views defined in the host application are added as Viewpoints in 3D Streaming Enscape  – Scene views that have been added to Favorites are included in the uploaded project and shown in 3D Streaming. Time of Day The Time tool allows you to switch between different times of the day. This preview can then be saved in the Viewpoints. Use the slider to change the time of day. The geographical coordinates are the location simulated in the image. Open the Month sub menu to change the month of the year. Winter months will cause the scene to be darker at earlier times of the day, and summer months will make the scene brighter at later times of the day. Snapshot The Snapshot tool allows you to easily capture your view at any moment. Position your view as desired, then click on the button in the tool ribbon at the bottom of the screen. This tool uploads a Snapshot of your viewport to Chaos Cloud. After a few moments, a high-quality render appears in the same folder as your 3D scene. Available for Editor users only, Viewers, and Anonymous users cannot take Snapshots. Comments Use the buttons to add comments to the scene. See more about how Comments work here.
