## **Collaboration**

---

The Collaboration tab provides a tool for sharing your work with other users. You can upload images from the VFB to the Chaos Cloud Collaboration, where other users can add comments and annotations.

Signing in to [Chaos Cloud Collaboration](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VCLOUD/pages/126049555) using your Chaos credentials is required once. After that, you are automatically signed in whenever you open the Collaboration tab.

When opening the Collaboration tab for the first time, click anywhere to upload the current image in the VFB to Chaos Cloud Collaboration. Following that, you can upload other images via the Upload image to Chaos Collaboration button or some of the other options provided by the VFB.

**Automatically, **there is a default** **project folder where the images are uploaded to Chaos Cloud Collaboration. You can create multiple projects and folders from the browser.

The Collaboration tab has several sections: *Upload files* containing a list of images for upload, *Recent *containing recent projects, and *Browse* with locations where the images are uploaded.

– Deletes the current image from the upload list.

– In the **Upload files**, upload the current image in the VFB to Chaos Cloud Collaboration. In **Browse**, create a new project or folder.

– Renames the Upload file.

**Upload to selection **– Uploads the image(s) to Chaos Cloud Collaboration in the selected project or folder.

**Upload to Enhance** () [*](#notesAnchor) – Converts the image to multichannel EXR internally (including the auto-generated channels by the Enhancer Data render element). Then, the image can be enhanced in Cloud Collaboration.

**New upload **– Clears the Collaboration tab and prepares it for a new upload of images.

**Open in browser** – Opens the uploaded images in Chaos Cloud Collaboration.

> ✅ It is also possible to directly drag the images from the Explorer to the Collaboration tab.

Chaos Collaboration is not supported on V-Ray for Maya 2024 running on macOS, and V-Ray for Maya versions 2022 and 2023 on Linux.

### **AI Enhancer**

The [AI Enhancer](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VCLOUD/pages/126075881) provides easy and quick quality enhancement to renders. This applies especially to people and vegetation assets, which gain the best improvement from this feature.

> ✅ The Chaos AI Enhancer uses **Chaos Credits**. *For more information, see **[Chaos Credits](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LIC5/pages/860160024)** documentation.*

> ℹ️ Note the following parameters when working with the AI Enhancer:
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ The width or height of the rendered image for the AI Enhancer to work must be **no less than 512px**. If set to less than 512px on either side, the icon will appear gray.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If the resolution is from 512px to 3840px, the image for enhancement is upscaled to 4096px.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If the resolution is from 3840px to 4096px, the rendered image is passed to the enhancer as-is.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Suppose the resolution of the rendered image is higher than 4096px. In that case, the enhanced image on the Chaos Collaboration button receives an indicator () showing that the image exceeds the maximum enhancement size and will be automatically scaled down on the longer side in Chaos Cloud Collaboration.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If the resolution of the rendered image is higher than 16384px, the enhanced image on the Chaos Collaboration button becomes greyed out, and a warning about the unsupported image size appears.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ More than one file can be uploaded; however, the **maximum file size is limited to 300MB,** and if exceeded, an ‘Upload error’ is printed.

## **Render Region**

---

Region rendering can be used in both IPR and Production modes to isolate only part of the frame for rendering. Usually, when a render region is used, you would like to save the whole frame instead of the region only.

The regions can be moved around, deleted, or edited by their vertices.
Hold and drag the left mouse button to create a new polygon region.
Press **ESC **to cancel the vertex creation. |
