This page provides information on V-Ray Physical Camera settings integrated in Solaris Camera LOP node. Create Camera V-Ray Camera settings are located in the V-Ray tab of the Camera LOP and they include V-Ray Physical Camera , V-Ray Dome Camera , and Settings tabs. V-Ray Physical Camera settings are similar to those under the V-Ray Physical Camera tab, and V-Ray Dome Camera settings are similar to those under the Dome Camera rollout in obj network. The Settings tab contains global overrides, similar to those of the Camera Properties in obj network. The settings become available when you create a Camera LOP from ||stage|| > Cameras > Camera. Create and Set Attributes The parameters that correspond to a USD attribute have a pop-up menu that controls how the LOP node authors the attribute: Set or Create – Sets the attribute to a given value, regardless of whether the attribute previously existed or not. Set if Exists – Sets an attribute to the given value only if it previously existed. Use this option to make sure the attribute is set on primitives of the correct type. Block – Makes the attribute appear to not exist so it takes on its default value. Do Nothing – Does not affect the attribute, i.e. does not create or change the attribute in any way. Physical Camera Tab The Physical Camera tab contains settings controlling the V-Ray Physical Camera. Main – This tab contains settings for controlling the basic parameters of the V-Ray Physical Camera, such as exposure, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, and many others. Depth of Field  – This tab contains settings for controlling the depth of field. Motion Blur  – This tab contains settings for controlling the motion blur of the V-Ray Physical Camera. Distortion  – This tab contains settings for controlling the distortion sampling for the V-Ray Physical Camera. For more information on the parameters included in each tab, see the V-Ray Physical Camera page. Please note that V-Ray computes the geometry samples based on the Shutter Open and Shutter Close values (Camera LOP > Sampling) - if the Shutter Open and Shutter Close values are in a very low range such as [-0.1, 0.1] for example, but the Shutter Angle and Shutter Offset (Camera LOP > V-Ray tab > Main tab) are set to [360, -180] which is an entire frame's duration, there won't be enough geometry samples for the motion blur, and it will be cut off. The simplest solution is to make sure the Shutter Open and Shutter Close are [-1, 1] and then control the actual motion blur effect duration from the V-Ray's Shutter Angle and Shutter Offset parameters. Dome Camera Tab The Dome Camera tab contains settings controlling the V-Ray Dome Camera. For more information on the parameters included in this tab, see the Dome Camera page. Settings This tab contains V-Ray camera properties that can override the global camera properties, specified in the Camera tab of the Renderer Settings > V-Ray tab. For more information on the parameters included in this tab, see the Camera Properties page. Projecting Textures from a Camera In Solaris, materials and textures are created inside a Material Library node. Hense, the projection of textures from a specific camera is also done inside this node. To project a texture from a specific camera, dive inside the Material Library node and create an Add node. Link the texture node to it. Then set the mapping type of the texture to Projection . Add the specific camera to the Projection Camera (LOP) field.
