The **Raw Diffuse Filter** Render Element is not very commonly used in compositing. It may be useful when used in conjunction with the [Diffuse Channel](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VRAYHOUDINI/pages/113279772), when pure black and white values are needed for a specific compositing job.
