## **Build 2.0.21**

*Official release*

**Date **– Nov 02, 2026

### **Upgrade notes**

- After the update, the Admin Panel is available only on the local machine. To open it from other machines, set `webHost: 0.0.0.0` in swarm.yaml and restart the Swarm service
- After the update, a node communicates only with peers that have private IPs. If your nodes use other IPs, add their ranges to `peersIps` in swarm.yaml
- Windows: the installer adds more secure firewall rules. They open only the ports that Swarm uses (UDP 1112, TCP 1114 and the V-Ray server ports), and only on domain and private networks. After the update, open the ports manually in the firewall if:
  - the network of the node is public (Windows sets a new network to public by default)
  - you changed `mcastPort` or `peersPort` in swarm.yaml
  - you set `webHost` to an address that is not `127.0.0.1` (open `webPort`, by default 1113)
- Windows: if Swarm is in a custom installation folder (not in Program Files), the installer checks that only administrators can change this folder and its parent folders. If the check fails, the installer shows the reason and does not change the installation. Change the permissions or select a different folder

### **Security**

- The Swarm service runs as a dedicated account with fewer rights, not as an administrator
- The Admin Panel and the DCC connection are available only on the local machine by default (new settings webHost and grpcHost)
- Only a user on the node's machine can change the configuration, enable or disable V-Ray, and upload or delete V-Ray
- Nodes communicate only with peers from private networks by default (new setting peersIps)
- Swarm accepts only V-Ray packages signed by Chaos
- Windows: the firewall rules open only the Swarm ports, and only on domain and private networks
- Windows: the settings are now in %ProgramData%\Chaos\V-Ray\Swarm 2
- Windows: only administrators can change the installation folder

### **Improvements & Bugfixes**

- The Admin Panel shows which OS information the node cannot read
- The V-Ray server stops when Swarm stops unexpectedly
- Swarm shows the correct macOS version
- Updated 7-Zip to 26.04
