### **V-Ray type**

In this step you can choose the installation type for V-Ray. The available type are: 

**Workstation **– This is a full installation and includes all components as described in the “**Installation overview**” section. It allows you to use V-Ray in Unreal, do Distributed Rendering, run V-Ray GPU render server, use V-Ray SDK, and have V-Ray license server on this machine.   
**Standalone only** – This installation includes V-Ray Standalone and V-Ray GPU render server. Please choose this option if you plan to use this machine only for Distributed Rendering with V-Ray Standalone and a V-Ray GPU render server.

Press the **Continue** button to proceed with the installation.

### **Additional Components**

In this step you can opt to install the **License Server** and **Chaos Cloud Client**. Press the **Continue** button to proceed with the installation.

### **Settings**

You can optimize V-Ray for Unreal installation in this step by manually setting the location folder where V-Ray for supported Unreal versions will be installed. This page is accessible if nothing in **Host app version** page is selected.

**Install V-Ray for Unreal Engine 4.##** – Enabled the installation of V-Ray for Unreal for the specified Unreal Engine version.  
**Unreal Engine 4.## plugins location** – Allows you to specify an installation location for V-Ray for Unreal. A path to Unreal's **Plugins** folder must be specified e.g  *C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_4.26\Engine\Plugins*

### **Licensing**

In this step, you can specify whether the Chaos License Server runs locally or on another machine.

**Local **– This option installs the License Server on your machine. *For a walkthrough, see the **[Chaos License Quick Start Guide](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VRAYUNREAL/pages/116558070)**.*  
**Remote **– This option allows you to configure your Chaos product for floating licenses in a local network. Fill in the IP address of the Chaos License Server in your network in the **Primary License Server** field. Please leave the port **30304 **unchanged. *For more details on this setup, see the **[License Server Deployment](https://docs-chaos.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LIC5/pages/124524875)** page.*
