*Official release*

**Date** - September 10, 2026

## **New Features**

---

### **Proxy bake**

- Write a small, untextured placeholder into the host model instead of the full mesh, so Enscape renders the full asset in its place
- Revit: new Proxy option in the Bake format dropdown, now the default; OBJ and DXF remain available
- SketchUp and Rhino: new Bake geometry dropdown with Proxy (default) and Full geometry options
- Cosmos assets bake as the Cosmos proxy outline, and generated meshes bake as a simplified silhouette
- The Veras 3D view always shows the full model
- Re-baking with Full geometry replaces the proxy with the full mesh
- After a model refresh, Veras recognizes its proxies, relinks them to their source renderings, and reloads the full mesh into the 3D view

### **Place from gallery**

- New asset source for placing an existing 3D model from the Gallery, alongside Generate and Search Cosmos library
- Placing from the gallery is free and doesn't use a queue slot
- Picker with search by name, category, and engine, and Load more to page through the full 3D model history
- Every asset has a name and category on every host

### **Microsoft TRELLIS 2.0**

- Microsoft TRELLIS 2.0 is added to the 3D GEN engine list, with sharper geometry and full PBR materials
- TRELLIS 2.0 uses the existing 3D GEN agreement
- Rate limit dialog with a countdown, usage details, and a Generate button that retries all refused objects as one batch

### **GPT Image models by OpenAI**

- New GPT Image 2.5 engine with Fast, High (default), Extra High, and Max quality options at 1K or 2K
- GPT Image 2 is now available

### **Grok Imagine 2.0 by xAI**

- Grok Imagine 2 is now available
- Reference images on both Grok Imagine engines: up to four on Grok Imagine 1 Fast and Grok Imagine 2, and up to two on the Grok Imagine 1 Quality tiers

## **Modified Features**

---

- Renamed Trellis to Microsoft TRELLIS 1.0 and Hunyuan 3D 3.1 to Tencent HY 3D 3.1
- Improved 3D view performance when hovering over heavy assets
- Replaced the hide-geometry optimization with an interaction level-of-detail engine that runs only on heavy models while the camera moves
- Changed asset placement to use the surface under the cursor
- Changed imported GLBs to use the size stored in the file and to be fully editable
- Moved transform controls onto the 3D canvas
- Changed bake time to scale with asset size, so large assets succeed and failures are reported sooner
- Changed the busy indicator to a progress ring outside the thumbnail
- Added a blue ring to the thumbnail of a selected object
- Changed renaming an object during generation to update the rendering's pill immediately
- Added sharing for 3D models, with their own icon and label in share dialogs
- Changed sketch visibility to be remembered per rendering
- Changed the update prompt to check the installed plug-in version for each host application
- Added a message when the graphics driver drops the 3D context instead of showing a blank canvas

## **Fixes**

---

- Orbit and scroll-wheel zoom pop when switching
- The viewer freezes after scrolling during a drag or after releasing the mouse outside the canvas
- Renders started during camera movement capture missing geometry
- Middle-click pan and touch drag don't end correctly
- Assets are placed on a roof when dragging across multi-level floors
- Large assets report a false timeout during baking, which causes duplicate copies on retry
- Cosmos search progress bar overlaps the bottom edge of the search field

## **Known Limitations**

---

- Baking into the host model is supported only in Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp. Vectorworks and Archicad support isn't available yet.
- Proxy bake requires the Veras 5.1 plug-in for the host application.
- Design Lock is available only with the Nano Banana engines.
